ABOUT IVY

In the tradition of the Impressionists, Colorado Artist Ivy Delon’s pastel and oil paintings evoke the ethereal beauty of nature in all its glorious transition.

“I am attracted to the rhythms of nature. The flow and patterns within the landscape, garden or figure are a constant inspiration and challenge. My painting process is spontaneous and heartfelt. I use rhythms to meander through my paintings, with varying subtlety in expression.”

Ms. Delon graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado in 1977, and worked as a graphic designer for five years. Her interest in painting was awakened in 1982 by a summer painting workshop in Maine. She has been painting and teaching art ever since. Her paintings are in collections nationwide, including The Portland Hilton, Syntex Corporation and Bloomin’ Flower Cards.

Ivy resides, paints and teaches in her home studio in Littleton, Colorado, with her husband Alan.
